I am currently taking the Comm 310 “Creating Online Media” course with Brother Lybbert, and feel as though I have learned so much this semester! From writing my own HTML and CSS to manipulating WordPress themes.

The following design is the rough draft of my final project for this class, and I have manipulated the “Divi” WordPress theme on my self hosted site through Bluehost.

This project is a one-page website promoting a non profit organization, and I chose to feature the company Humble Hilo, which not only provides women with fashionable, high quality purses, but also provides women and children in Guatemala with an elevated lifestyle.

My process started with sketches of how I wanted my layout to look (which I think I threw away because I cannot find them anywhere).

Then, I converted those sketched into an Adobe Illustrator file.

Here is a link to how my website turned out when I took my content into the Divi WordPress theme and customized the colors, layout, and characteristics of my website through CSS:

Note: Since this website is my final project for Comm 310, it will be undergoing slight alterations throughout the remainder of the week. However, my Illustrator files in this post are concrete and very similar to what I have implemented into my webdesign.

Thanks for reading!

xoxo Sarah
