Overview
Projects submitted for this contest must fit within the broad theme of motion. This could be a short film, an animated short, an single animation, a photo capturing the essence of motion, etc. Go crazy and have some fun with theme.
This project must meet these minimum requirements:
- Must be created after the beginning of this current semester
- Visual in nature
- Fit within the broad theme of motion
- Shared daily on the BYU-I Visual Comm Society & Emphasis Facebook group and any other social media platforms of your choice (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc). These social media posts should showcase your process (write-up, speed video, video summary, etc.) along with your finished daily project.
- Submitted in the form of a case study (see instructions below)
Case Study
When you finish your project you will be required to write up a case study and submit it in PDF format. This will help you refine a portfolio piece that will communicate your skills beyond just a single visual piece. You will want to put time into the visual appeal, completeness, and message since this will be a portion of what you are judged on in addition to your final project.
The case study should include at least the following:
- Cover page
- The Problem
- The Solution
- The Approach (Deliverables/Execution)
- Learnings
Make sure that a person reading your case study can see and access your work. If your work is in a video format you might want to include a link(s) to it on YouTube.
