If there’s one person inexperienced in Photoshop, it’s this girl. Well, not the girl in the picture… but me. I was reminded of how important the planning process is in any visual design. I knew I wanted to do something with thick hair, but I didn’t know what it was until I sat down and started playing with my photos.
This is how my final product turned out. It has a very cartoon-ish feel to it, and it was a neat experience to see what possibilities there are for just a single photo. It makes me wonder if there really ever is a bad photo, because it can always be used as a base for something else. I would make a deep analogy applying that concept to life… but I’m too tired for that right now. Ha!
I played around with the filters that Photoshop had to offer for this project. Most of it was made with the “Cutout” filter, and lots of contrast/saturation changes. The best part about this, was that I learned a few things in Photoshop, that I didn’t know how to do before. We were told to step out of our comfort zone for these projects.. and, I think I took a big one. Enjoy!
