Submitting Content

  1. Log into your Visual Society account.
  2. On the left hand sidebar, hover over “Posts” and click “Add New”.
  3. Add a post title (John Smith | Fine Art | Photography).
  4. Insert your media and content. Images must be sized properly; max 1024px on the long side and videos must be embedded.
  5. Checkbox ALL the proper “Category” tags for your post on the right hand sidebar.
  6. Preview your post before submitting, and once completed click “Submit For Review”.

Common Questions

How many entries can I submit and when are they due?

The limit is 1 entry per competition. The entries need to be uploaded to the Visual Society Website no later than Tuesdays by 11:59 pm.

What are the prizes and when do you announce the winners?

Winners are announced the week following the entry deadline.

1st place: $70* (open to all)
2nd Place: $50* (open to all)
3rd Place $30* (open to all)
Society Choice: $15* (open to members**)

*Cash prize amounts are subject to change at any time.
**1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes are open to all entrants. Society choice is only open to society members.

Do I need to be in attendance to win receive the prize money?

Yes, you must be in attendance to confirm your acceptance. Prize money will be deposited in the student account following the announcement of the winners, provided the student has supplied a valid student ID number.

Can I submit work I created a year ago?

No, all entries submitted to all competitions must be created during the current semester.
