Adobe Max

The Visual Society is hosting a 3-day retreat for students participating in Adobe Max on October 26-28! This retreat will give you an opportunity to be free from distractions and learn from the fantastic creative professionals presenting at the Adobe Max Creative Conference. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks will be provided each day at a minimal cost. During the conference we’ll be participating in daily design competitions with some awesome prizes, so you won’t want to miss it!

WHAT IS ADOBE MAX?

Adobe Max is an annual creative conference for design professionals, and in past years Visual Society has taken a handful of students to the in-person event. Because of COVID-19, the conference registration is completely free and streaming live this year. This means we have the opportunity for more students than ever to participate with us in the event!

WHERE AND WHEN IS IT?

The retreat is taking place at an event center in St. Anthony. We’ll be traveling to the retreat each day in University vehicles, leaving at 8am and returning around 6pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (Oct 26-28). More details TBA.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Due to social distancing requirements, we’re limiting the number of attendees to 25 students. If you’re interested, even if you can’t commit to all three days, please fill out this form to let us know you’re interested: https://forms.gle/wK5jdZZvpom7Uc2E7

If we have more than 25 students interested in attending, students will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis according to their interest level. If you’re only able to attend for 1 or 2 days, we will do what we can to accommodate you! We can provide you with excused absence forms for your classes. For authorized absences, instructors can’t cut student grades on the basis of attendance. However, this does not push off any due dates and does not require instructors to provide you with the content you missed in class. You will want to sign up for this event, get the absence form, and talk to your instructors about it as soon as you can to properly plan for the absences.

WHEN DO I NEED TO SIGN UP BY?

Fill out the interest form by Tuesday, October 19th. This will give us time to confirm with all attendees and arrange for absences, transportation, and food.
